This report presents the importance of a significant practice in the process of reading and writing acquisition for children six years old, enrolled in a class of first year of primary education in Osasco’s municipality. The biggest challenge during the project was to design and to propose activities that all the children reflect about the relationship between speech and writing and how do you read and write. From polls cyclical and continuous, we sought to identify the stage of writing in which each child was in and propose the most appropriate activities that could facilitate the transition to the later stages. The daily living activities such as reading materials in various different locations, family games was really important in the process. It must understand that the child only literacy reading, writing and trying to explain what she write using what she knows about what is write requiring information about content to make assumptions about her write. To write the child will choose what and how many letters she will use. When she will read what she wrote, will need to reflect about the choices they made and justify them to herself and the others as leftovers, additions or change in the order of the letters or write interpretation like writhers and rewritten. That action of interaction, participation and cooperation between the children were significant in the development of autonomy, criticality, awareness of this rights and duties in the school environment and society, as well as encourage them to read and write pleasurable.
